I have one of those covers too, but it was a gift. I don't know if I would have shelled out $40 for one myself, but I do like it.
One thing I didn't like about the cover, though, was that it hides the little indicator light in front of the on/off button. I went and drilled a hole where the light is so I could see it, but it came out kind of rough due to the covering. A good leather punch would probably have worked better. I ended up cutting out about 1/2" of the frame, but it still doesn't look so good because the plastic inside is white (ABS?). It looks like the cut edges of the frame that holds the Vox are painted with some kind of plastic lacquer, something to do in the future.

I drilled for the green LED light too, as well as to the right and just below that position---the ambient light sensor. If you don't expose that sensor, you get a false and or always-seeking light level when on AUTO BRIGHT. I used a small emery board to smooth out the drilled area. It worked quite well.
