This New York Times article appeared a couple days ago. The first third of the article starts out by bashing the Kindle Fire. In fact, at one point the article even says

All this would be enough to send some products directly to the graveyard where the Apple Newton, the Edsel, New Coke and McDonald’s Arch Deluxe languish.

Then the article tempers its criticism somewhat before reverting back into a fairly scathing critique.
