Well if it doesn't fit a niche, send it back!
For me, even as an iPad owner and Kindle 2 owner, it fits a niche. I use it much more for reading than I do my iPad - it's much more comfortable for that. Especially for news, when I'm on the subway and even at home I guess. If I had to have one device, it would be the Fire. The iPad seems redundant to me now, but for a few apps that aren't available on the Fire yet.
