StyleTap attracting software pirates?

An interesting ongoing discussion at PDA247 contemplates the question of whether the Palm emulator StyleTap is attracting software pirates with a new feature that allows you to switch the Palm Hotsync ID on the fly.

Plenty of Palm application use the Hotsync ID to derive registration keys from it; being able to emulate any Hotsync ID would allow you to share registration keys with others. Only hypothetically, of course, since no one here would really do that!
