One on my earlier statements in this thread is that the Kindle Touch is the best ereader I have ever owned. Why in the world would I return it?

Yes of course. TerryAJ is at fault by not being able to use his ereader out of the box. Get a grip. As far as I'm concerned, the TI is very disappointing compared to Sony's earlier models.
