Post Finally registered - not sure why it took so long!

Hey Hey,

So I've been a wee-bit of a lurker of the Mobile Read Forums for a while, but never quite got round to registering. Anywho, a message from an existing member, over on tumblr, finally motivated me to sign-up.

So time for the obligatory intro. My name's Michael, -- Links deleted - MODERATOR]

I'm a Kindle 3 / Kindle Keyboard owner, having owned mine since the end of November last year. I was never vehemently "anti-Kindle" prior to that - I just didn't think the device was for me. Due an illness I had to spend a fair bit of time in hospital / outpatients, and got talking to a fellow patient who had a Kindle. I ended up borrowing it for a few mins here and there, liking the device, and eventually decided to treat myself to one, as an early Christmas / even earlier Birthday present.

In terms of future eReaders? I'm interested in seeing what Waterstones have got up their sleeves for next year [I'm a believer that they should have licenced Kobos' range], but other than that,I plan on sticking with my trusty Kindle Keyboard - hopefully until Mirasol / Colour e-ink models become viable [and cheap!]

I think that's about it. I likely won't be a super active poster, but I thought I'd take a few mins to create an account, and have a "look round".

-Michael.
