Reduce the Gloss

First post! Wife is getting me a T1 for X-mas. I looked all the e-readers in stores and liked the feel of the Sony best.

The glossy frame did bother me, but I had the same glare problem on another piece of plastic on an electronic item. The fix is simple. Get a scotchbrite pad (or equivalent) from the home store. Be sure to get the finest pad they have. Alternatively the glass cooktop cleaning pads work also.

Simply rub until you reach the desired level of glossyness. I would recommend putting some masking tape on the screen and buttons just in case you slip. If you are unsure and want to try it out, use one of the edges which also has the glossy surface. If it does not work to your liking, you only have a bit of edge that is hardly seen.
