OK,first off, don't do anything hasty to your work computer.

Do you have an Adobe ID, and have you authorised your work computer using your Adobe ID?

If you haven't, those books on your work computer are only authorised for that particular installation on your computer. You won't be able to get them to work with anything else, and if that installation goes away (e.g. replacement machine/reinstall of system software) then you'll have permanently lost access to your ebooks. In this case, the only way you're going to be able to keep those books and read them on other devices is to remove the DRM. Apprentice Alf can help you there (google for his blog), but we can't give detailed DRM removal instructions here.

But hopefully you do have your work machine registered with your Adobe ID. You just need to do the same with the PRS-T1. But since it's for your fiancče, perhaps it would be better to set her up with her own Adobe ID, and authorise the PRS-T1 to that. Of course, you then won't be able to use the ebooks from your work machine on it. (Unless, of course, you remove the DRM.)

Personally, I strip the DRM from any ebooks I buy. It's just too much hassle.
