That's very cheap of them. A retailer really ought to stand behind the product they sell, and provide some assistance to the customer.
Before you do that, I suggest using the Format Flash option in the File Menu to reset the device, and try a new SD card for your books.
Aside from the dismal battery life, and the irritating flashing (15? 20 times?)that occurs when I wake the M90 from sleep, the stupid thing seems to be working fairly well now from the SD card.
