I like the separate folder per book--at this point, I've just been using Mobireader to manage my books; if I look in the directory it's very confusing with all of the different files for each book, many of them with very cryptic file names.
This is a very nice aspect of ebooks--how else can you evacuate with your whole library?
Will DVDs survive in a fireproof box for documents?

Actually, DVDs *LOVE* living in fireproof boxes!
However, they hate *warm* fireproof boxes, so please do not subject said boxes to burning conditions.
