But I was surprised my taskbright by Pathway had a magnet on it. I guess I will hope it doesn't hurt the DX. Since it didn't hurt my Sony when I used the same model of light that has a magnet.

I use two hands to hold the DX. I don't think I could read on the Fire. I am too use to the nice ereader print and no backlight glare.
Apparently there were several versions of the Amazon Kindle DX cover. They had problems with the original ones breaking off part of the Kindle at the holding latches. I really don't see any stress being put on the device or cover now, even when folding the cover all the way back.
