Also check out what your library offers - The Toronto library has a large number of ebooks available (which work on the Kobo) for younger readers. This is offered through a service called Overdrive - which I know some UK libraries have, so take a look at yours.

Library books will need to be downloaded on a computer (using software called ADE) so you will need to connect the Kobo to a computer to add. After a set period of time, the books expire - so there is no worry about late returns and fines.
