It's not what it looks like. It's just an experiment to demonstrate that the Fire will run the latest Android OS. Maybe a future Kindle Fire release will be built upon the Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS. Just like the existing Kindle Fire OS is built upon the Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread).
