I told the clerk it was going to be a gift and got a receipt for that specifically. I don't know if one just gets the regular purchase receipt if the extended holiday return would apply to tell the truth for a tablet.

The only issue though perhaps is if it is returned opened with a gift receipt, BB may only give store credit but I'm unsure of that.

I bought the NC last year and I didn't have any trouble returning it opened to BB during the extended holiday period from what I remember with the original purchase receipt afterwards.

Thanks for the heads-up though. I don't think it is going to matter for me personally because for $200 even though I have other tablets I feel I'm going to keep it.
