I've actually had a couple of freebies just go thru, even after their change, so apparently they run a server farm that isn't always up to date even on that.
They didn't have to go so overboard, though - a very, very simple change would have fixed their issue (and is the ONLY method that should be used for a non-cart web environment, as well as with other web based database updates, which their programmers would have known, if they employed any that actually pursued CS beyond picking it up from books or hacking in high school).
