BTW, I purchased a windows vps and loaded Calibre on it, and used ServiceEx to load the content server as a service and it works just fine, no crashes. I figure with the Windows version I can install Kindle PC and Nook PC, etc, and just use to to completely manage my library instead of managing on my PC and then syncing to the linux vps content server.

So, I guess what that means is I have given up on trying to get the Linux install to work. I have the VPS for a month, I will not renew it. I am still willing to help try and figure this error out, but I have not seen anyone else posting about it on here.

I can do whatever you want\need in order to test, or I can email you the root password of the VPS and let you have at it for a while. As much as I like Calibre I may even be willing to pay for it for a few more months if you need the test box.
