This is just plain wrong. You certainly don't have to exit the book. Just use the "Search" box at the top of the screen, and change the search target from "This Book" to "Wikipedia". Read the item in Wikipedia, then tap "Back" to return to the book. OK, you have to type in the word you want to search for, but that's not a major burden - in fact one might argue that it's more flexible than only being able to use words that actually appear in the book.
