Hello Davidesmith.

Save the file to your computer, then connect the Kindle to your computer with your usb cable and drag and drop the file from your computer to the folder called "documents" on your Kindle.
I usually save my files to my desktop as they're easy to locate there, or the downloads folder on my computer.
My friend is not very computer savvy and said she felt quite daunted when she got her Kindle but once I talked her through it she was downloading away!
Not everyone is of a "techie mind" and once you know what to do I'm sure you'll find it quite an easy thing to do!
