I have the same problem and detected the following:
- if this TOC is visible I simply connect the T1 again with the PC and wait until Calibre detects it and do nothing within Calibre and eject the T1 reader with the help of Calibre.
And then the TOC is gone, it is easy to repeat and works fine as a workaround.
