Yep, it's a tough balance to be considerate about a joint budget, and to be careful to distinguish between the multitude of "wants" and the practical needs.
With all the great options now coming out in computers and handhelds, I might be spending like there was no tomorrow if I didn't have family and future to think about and to keep me sane!
