I am wondering how many are NOT having the battery/ wake/ charge issue and not therefore not speaking up.
I for one have none of those issues. I don't turn off the wifi when it sleeps but I do not leave a book open either. I have no other apps that I mess with and I have removed rdio and the Globe app. I noticed the Globe app seemed to do something in the background.
Many times I will recharge in sleep mode and it will pop on for a sec then off again but charges fine.
I have had it for a month now I hope I have not spoke too soon.

You can always buy it again later when this is resolved.

I am willing to wait, but then I am not (perhaps yet) having any problems that I can't get around.

PS: I am not intending to be rude or unsympathetic. This is a huge issue for many people. My only point was that if it is getting to feel entirely intolerable or if it haunts you or makes you angry, edgy, or upset, you really should return it. No one should have to feel lousy because of a piece of technology's flaws, bugs, or limitations.
