Cool reader doesn't do publisher's defaults like Mantano et al. However, it maintains some of the original formatting and at least shows italics and bold text unlike some other apps (at least for my books). Also, it uses the entire font family of my chosen font which no other reader I've found does.

I find I'm rather spoiled with the glutton of 3rd party ereading apps that let you adjust brightness by sliding on the left edge of the screen and simply cannot fathom why the majors don't adopt this.
