Congrats! Bummer that I only just now discovered this thread. (I'm having trouble keeping up these days, there's so much good stuff here.) I would have liked to have come as I'm local, interested in the topic and a CMU grad myself.
Didn't know these things were public. When I did mine, about a thousand years ago by my estimates, it was just a small private gathering with me and the Profs in a classroom.
Even more interesting will be to hear what you end up doing with this new shiny degree! And when I met you and your wife a while back, I know you already had one possibility in mind that sounded very interesting. Must be lots of opportunities at this point. Hope you'll share with us.
