I just have a paperclip attached to the cover of my 950. The calendar worked on the last version but the 950 uses a little more memory so some items cause problems. And yes currently even touching the calendar will crash your reader and require a reset with the paperclip.
I have played checkers, chess and chess puzzles without a hitch. But the only way to use the content server is with PRS+ installed. The pluses of PRS+ far outweigh the fact you must not touch the calendar app. I've been using PRS+ on my 505 (almost 3 years) and 950 (3 months) virtually since the day I received each.
PRS+ is rock solid for everything else and future releases will, if not fix the instability, allow you to remove the unstable menu items so you aren't tempted to touch them.
Of course you could install version PRSP_950_2.0.14beta.zip. It doesn't have some of the code updates seen in 2.0.16rc but the calendar works.
