Why not just use calibre2opds and skip the "save to disk", dropbox app and ES File Explorer steps entirely? Once set up, you can manage your library/books on calibre then browse and download them directly into Mantano/Aldiko/Cool reader/fbreader/Moon+ etc...

...or (for when you're home,) just use the content server like I do.

I personally find either method to be so much faster than dealing with the dropbox app.
