I currently have it set on 1 minute but it seems to blacks it out after 5-10 secsonds
The lowest setting is 30 seconds so not sure why its not matching my real life experience
I will change it to 5 mins and see if it does anything

Mine doesn't do that. Try a factory reset if that doesn't fix it get it exchanged.
