That's why I use screen protectors which have oleophobic properties... as even the iPad isn't very oleophobic, no matter what Apple says about that. The reason they're so shiny in Apple Stores is because there's an associate with a microfiber cloth and spray cleaner wiping them down every fifteen minutes. I've watched.

Oleophobic coating treatments bonds with many different surfaces at the nano-scale to create oil resistant, anti-smudge coatings. Does anybody know if Kobo uses this, other than an anti-glare?
