Ahem, the major problem with holographic storage, and probably the primary reason why these are "less than $1.00 each", is heat and cold. You can't possibly ensure the integrity of the data on the card under those fluctuating conditions, and certainly not if the card is in any way flexible.

Maybe its a 250M card with 4 identical copies of the data on the card, to make up for the large chance of data loss due to temperature and flexibility.
