I don't know about the things you mention, but the Triton colour screen is quite straightforward. It's essentially a 1600x1200 greyscale eInk screen, with a
RG
BW
(red, green, blue, white) overlay, so that four of the greyscale pixels go to make up one colour pixel.
So the colour pixel resolution is half that of the B&W resolution. 100dpi instead of 200dpi.
