I use a clipon reading light and attach it to the folded over top cover. Works well for me.

Thanks Tom
Since you are so helpful

can explain to me some things on the DX.
1. I tried to sync to the latest reading spot on the DX (from my Kindle 3) and it said something to the effect that you will see the sync after you close the book or DX goes to sleep. I tried closing the book (exiting) and also put DX to sleep. Nothing changed. It should have gone to the proper page if the sync was working. I know I have my Amazon account setup to sync. Am I doing something wrong? I also went to the menu and restarted the DX. Still no change. Should I power down completely?
2. I noticed a tiny bit of battery drain overnight, and I didn't use it after I fully charged it. It came to me only 1/2 full, so I charged for several hours and got the green light. Is that normal? I always turn off the 3G.
3. I tried the browser and compared it to the K3, and of course I see 2.5.8 is much different than the 3.3 on the K3. But are you able to save the last web page you visited? Can you share any tips? I would like to be able to do somethings if and when the power goes out and my network wouldn't be able to work. I thought that would be nice.
4. I sent a .pdf book from my Calibre to my DX and it didn't go. I sent the same book I converted to .azw and it went to my K3. I did set up my 2 different Kindle addresses and I made sure I sent to the correct address for each file. Why didn't it work? I will try again with a .azw book.
Sorry so many questions, but lots to learn.
Thanks so much for your help.
P.S. Forgot one more thing. I read reviews on the cover for the Kindle and some said the hinge broke the plastic on the Kindle. Can you tell me did they fix the problem?
