Go back and click through to the Google article, if you haven't done that, and click through to their previous research. My impression is that they are wondering if they will lose 'mind share' if their tools are not easy to use on a tablet.
And note which division of Google is conducting these studies-Mobile Ads. If tablets aren't leaving the home, that has some implications for location based advertising for sure.
