It took me less then 30 minutes to download, import, remove DRM, and convert 300 books when I finally decided to do it. It was not that hard and took hardly any time.

I would wait on the Sony to see if they have fixed the glitches that the device has been having. If they have, the Sony looks like a nice device. The Nook is a nice device. I have read mixed reviews about the Kobo.

Personally, I love my Kindle. I had the original and now use either a DXG or the K3. I have not had any problems with my Kindles. They work great and I love the Amazon book store.

Amazon has great customer service. The vast majority of people who have problems with their Kindles have had no problems getting the problems fixed. Amazon sends replacements one or two day delivery. Just make sure that you call Kindle Support and not Amazon support. There is a difference.
