There is a link to the new firmware, plus instructions to put it on the Kobo. Should work on most platforms (Linux, BSD, Windows&Mac). BTW, if you are on Linux, you can install the Kobo Desktop app using Wine&Winetricks. There is another thread about it in the forums. Updates&Syncing works with that setup, I use it myself.
