Many of them i am sure are available free for Kindle aswell, but some are not I have about 40 H Rider Hagard books and many of them are not "Kindled" yet. I have the alternative LCD reader on my Archos so transfering is not necessarily essential.

I've read that returning Kindles if they go wrong is less traumatic than Kobo or sony.
