If you manually install a copy of Go Launcher, make sure that you download the same version that is available on the Amazon App store. I made the mistake of accidentally downloading and installing an older version which caused the Fire's UI to be unresponsive. It was only by using the Android SDK, temporarily rooting it, deleting the app, and unrooting, was I able to save it from the brickyard.

I guess I just made that mistake since I now can't get beyond the Kindle Fire splash screen. I would appreciate complete instructions on how to fix the problem. I'm rooted, by the way.
