It's funny: I never considered sex in erotica to be particularly "realistic"--it was always highly romanticized, which I consider a hyper-reality, not realistic at all.

Sex in porn, of course, is generally concentrated down to the physical act itself; but that doesn't automatically make it more realistic, as the participants often display hyper-responses to stimuli.

So, to me, neither are more or less "realistic" than the other.
