I am really disappointed in these "special offers". I've had a KSO since October and there have been a couple of good deals, but nothing like at the beginning (from what I've seen from older posts). And in the last 2 or 3 weeks, the offers have been PATHETIC, or not even offers AT ALL. I feel used. They lured us in with great offers at the beginning and now they are jokes in comparison, and glorified billboards.

Has anyone written to Amazon regarding this? Or regarding their misleading ad for special offers on Thanksgiving and Black Friday? Is it worth writing to them? I'd consider opting out of SOs but don't want to pay the $40 to opt out of something that I was under the impression would be much better than this.
The offer specifically said:

Audible.com is offering a free download of Tom Clancy's "Dead or Alive" for Kindle with Special Offers customers.
So much for exclusivity.

And the offers have been pretty bad of late. Since 10 Sep, I've ordered three of them; only one of which was an exclusive KSO deal. I'm considering four others.

Writing them is probably pointless. I suspect that eventually, all Kindles will be sold with ads.

I have fond memories of the good old days (May~Aug) when the offers were good
