I sell my old ereaders immediately upon buying a new one. I just got a Nook STR and sold my Kobo Touch because I didn't need it anymore. I think I would keep two different ereaders if there were DRM issues, like for example if I had a Kindle and a Nook, because the formats are incompatible. But I have bought Kindle books before and just stripped the DRM and converted them to epub so I can read on my Nook.
I also have an iPod touch, but I really only read books on it when I'm in line at the grocery store or something. I've read some books on it before I bought my first eInk reader, but it's not an ideal ereader for reading a whole book.
I will admit to having (and using) two mp3 players, though. One is my iPod touch, and the other is an iPod nano. But they have different purposes; the iPod nano is my music device and the iPod touch is more of a pocket-iPad for me. I use it to check email, watch videos, surf the web, etcetera while I'm away from my computer.
