That's too simplistic a definition of erotica and porn: Stories about rough sex, bondage, rape, etc, usually don't have a "happy ending." But they can still be considered "porn" or "erotica," depending on how they are written. Porn actually doesn't depend on everything turning out "well"... one party needs to be satisfied by the act, but not always both of them.
This is why the labels we use to separate erotica and porn are so useless. As I said, the gray areas between one and the other are huge.
