For now, they only had the 3G/WiFi version, but a WiFi-only version is announced (or is it only rumors?) already.
I didn't need the SIM after this initial installation anymore. In the worst case, you might use a SIM for setup and then put it back into the original unit where it came from...
Yesterday evening I've played with both Samsung Galaxy Note and Sony Reader P. In direct comparison, the screen quality of Sony really shines. Not because Galaxy Note would be bad. But the colors on Sony simply are more vibrant. In that area, Sony Tablet P definitely is amongst my top 3 tablets. If only it had the pen/stylus of Galaxy Note...
And the split screen isn't quite there yet. I can live with the gap between the two screens. But some apps simply don't work in "full screen" mode. It looks rather stupid, having the Android market only on the upper screen and total darkness on the lower one.
