It might be worth your while to browse through the User's Manual that (I think!) should be in your Library. There are lots of things you might not think of trying until you read about them.
Also, there are YouTube videos demonstrating various aspects of the eDGe and Pocket eDGe (I'm too lazzy to find the links, but a search of this forum or Google should bring them to light).
