I found a solution on these forums that worked for failure to wake frrom sleep. I dont know how well it will work for others.
The solution involves keeping wifi on and going to settings - wifi - hitting the option button and clicking on advanced options. Then turn off power saving features for wifi. Oh and turning on airplane mode or turning off wifi will make this inaffective.
So turning off power saving for wifi and keeping wifi on works as a fix for me
