Apologies, all - been in hospital for a while, and now busily catching up. Just to round off this thread, I bought a second-hand JetBook from one of the posters on the forum. I've had it in my hands since last Saturday, and so far it seems fine, though all I've done to this point is charge it up and load some e-books onto it (several H.G.Wells, E.E. "Doc" Smith's Lensman series, a recent sci-fi novel called "One Survivor", "Jane Eyre", and "Treasure Island", if anyone is interested). I'll start investigating it further this week.
