DreamWriter, I was debating between these two tablets myself and look forward to reading your thoughts once you have them both in hand!
I'd been planning to buy the A100 because I had tried it and other 7" tablets (like the BB Playbook) in store, and they seemed to have the right size for what I needed. However, after spending some time with a relative's Kindle Fire, I realized a 7" was not going to let me read PDFs comfortably, so I went for the A500 (also the 8GB model at BB). The 8GB of storage doesn't concern me, as I don't plan to store a lot of music or video on it -- and if that changes, there are SD cards.
