another kindle user
Been using the kindle for about a year now. The wife just got a kindle fire. I have been watching these tablet computers since apple came out with the iPad - figured on waiting until at least version 3 before even considering a tablet. The wife is enjoying the fire and I am finding it entertaining to poke around with, but prefer the old kindle for reading.
I am actually getting more use out of the PC reader applications. I tinker with software for a living and find having a technical book open in a window while working the examples or implementing code to be helpful - immediate delivery of technical books and discounted prices over hard copy books is also a major plus!
Started looking into hacking the kindle today and wound up on this site through a number of searches - seems like a lot of roads lead here.
