First post here. Just got my DX today, ordered it after I saw the price drop to $259. I own a Sony 950 and I consider it fantastic expect for one area; PDF books. Specifically I do software and database development and reading PDF versions of development books on the smaller screen is... not so great.

I've loaded up a couple of technical books on the DX and its exactly what I was hoping for. Books are clear, code samples are easy to read, and inline graphics/pictures are actually legible. Its like having a proper, full size book to read.

I wasn't sure if Amazon had addressed earlier complaints about file organization I'd read about, but sure enough I can create collections and move books around so no issues there. Overall I'm completely happy with this reader for my intended use.

By all accounts it looks like Amazon isn't going to continue with the DX, and no other company has a comparably sized eReader in the US. So if anyone is considering a DX for PDF book reading, I'd say get one sooner than later. Its a huge step up from the typical 6" screen. I own an iPad as well but have never liked using it as a reader. The low pixel density and bright backlit screen just don't cut it.
