Water in my cup. I just got in from walking a couple of miles in a steady rain. I wanted to check out my wet weather clothes before cold weather sets in, to see what works and what doesn't. Trusty boots with goretex lining: Check! Cheap ten dollar waterproof-breathable pants from Big Lots: Check! (Surprised me.) BUT, my beloved REI Elements anorak that I've had for about 20 years or so: Not so much. The backing has peeled off of the shell, and as I saw today it really doesn't work without that, lol! My head and shoulders were absolutely soaked when I got home, and water was dripping down through my hair and off of my nose and chin. But hey, comfort is a prison, right? It wasn't cold outside so no harm done. I think I'll have to pull out my newer and less comfortable rain jacket, though.
