Calibre is primarily a library management program.

There are plenty of free ebooks (mostly out of copyright classics) from Project Gutenberg, Feedbooks, Google Books, etc. However, if you're looking to get bestsellers, etc, the only legal way to get them is either to buy them or to borrow a copy from the library.
