Funny, in my case the first dictionary language opened by default is "Deutsch", i.e. german. I guess that's because I selected german as system language. So, I guess the default language for the dictionary is the system language. But I don't argue that either the device should be smart enough to detect it's an english/german/whatever book or it should be able to store the language selected for dictionary lookups when reading a certain book and keep that language as default (for said book). I mean come on, the books&metadata are already stored in a DB.
