Scottish Gaelic has affinities with Irish and Manx Gaelic.
Welsh (the oldest living language in Europe) has some affinities with Breton and Cornish.
And it's not clear that Welsh is on life support. Depending on your criteria of Welsh-language proficiency, there is some evidence that the number of speakers is increasing.
